If you prefer to go to Mersing by private transport, rather than by bus, then consider renting a chauffeur-driven vehicle. We offer regular MPV cars for up to 6 passengers and larger MPV cars for up to 10 passengers. The rates for these are SGD$ 500 and SGD$ 550, respectively. We'll collect your party from your specified address, anywhere in Singapore, and will drop of your party at Mersing Harbour Centre. If your ferry departs from Tanjung Gemuk, then please add SDG$ 50 to the rate, as Tanjung Gemuk is an added 30 minutes' drive from Singapore.  Drop-off point, Mersing Harbour Centre Pick-up time is also specified by you, but can be any time of day. Please add SGD$ 50 to the rate if your pick-up time is between 1.00 am and 5.00 am. The drive to Mersing usually takes 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic at Woodlands and on the road to Mersing. We recommend leaving Singapore before 7.00 am, so as to avoid the Woodlands jam. We can stop along the way for a quick meal or for a toilet break. However, please keep in mind that ferry times can be a little erratic, so generally, it's best to reach Mersing or Tanjung Gemuk as early as possible.
